    Is there such a thing? Imho it’s the more one dimensional varieties. But that doesn’t mean it can’t make excellent wines.

    So I’ll say: Dornfelder. Which is the one variety I only enjoyed once

    Chardonnay. Doesn’t do much by itself unless it gets tortured in the winery
