Finally got an electric vertical smoker the other night. I’ve used an offset smoker before but this is night and day difference imo. The ease of use of it and the flavor it produced was incredible. But, does anyone got any recommendations on what to smoke next ? I’m thinking burnt ends since I’ve never had em before!!

If it were me I’d do a pork butt for pulled pork while you figure out how a long 12+ hr smoke will work for you and your smoker. It’s considerably more forgiving than brisket and burnt ends.

Even the Mac looks bomb. How does an electric smoker produce smoke flavor? Does it use pellets?

Nice! Which brand did you get? I’ve been debating getting one and I’ve been unsure.

I use my Masterbuilt so often throughout the year that I’m on my third one. (They don’t break, I just upgrade every 5 years or so) Even here in the Wisconsin weather it’ll hold temp just fine, even when it’s -40° out (I keep mine on the back patio)

Electric smokers kick ass. I gave one to friends as a wedding gift years ago, they call it the rib robot – put in ribs and wood chips, push buttons, bleep bloop, in a few hours rib robot has made ribs. Stupid easy.

I’m sure your stick burner can make “better” BBQ because carbon monoxide and hemoglobin and all that bullshit, but there’s something to be said for a machine that gets you 90% of the way there with a fraction of the effort.

That macaroni looks delicious, can you share the recipe?

    Same for the wings.

Just used mine for the first time! I think the biggest pro is a damn near perfect regulator. That thing sustained heat the whole cook time without going up or down AT ALL. Not sure I see any cons compared to my charcoal smoker.

Looks better than a birthday cake! Happy birthday and enjoy!

What kind of electric smoker did you use? I’m looking into a Ninja woodfire pro connect. This post gave me hope of using electric over other means!
