A few years ago, I lost 30 kilograms in 5 months on keto. I was mentally at peace, but something was bothering me. Even eating a piece of chip offered by my student would make me anxious, wondering if I'd break ketosis. The food served when I visited was a complete nightmare. Living in a land born of agriculture and being anti-grain is a huge contradiction. I gained back 25 of the 30 kilograms I lost. Then I started a more sustainable diet. Today is the first month anniversary of starting, and I've lost 7 kilograms (mostly due to edema, of course), but I feel much better now. I stopped eating flour, sugar, and high-glycemic foods, that's all. It sounds so easy, but my preconceived notion of "I can't lose weight without keto; it's all or nothing" made me feel terrible for years. Life isn't black and white; it's gray.
Meal is around 1300 kcal, had a banana after that. omad.

So you’re just on a regular calorie deficit diet now? I am tempted to start keto tbh
