Yesterday on November 8, we hosted six suppliers that brought six bottles of champagne each to pour for our guests and our clients in a large walk around format tasting. It was a "tough" day to choose what would've been a favorite as all of the wines showed so well. It really came down to style preferences over anything else, quality was in the bottle with every wine!

What do you think would've been your favorite table and why?

To reference a table just use the number of the picture in the slide as the table number!

  1. Look there are some great champagnes on every single table. I would absolutely love to taste through any one of them. But anyone who doesn’t pick table two is full of shit and/or wants to pretend that they don’t like Cristal

What’s not to like? I’d put 2,4 and 6 my list but there’s a lot of labels I’ve never seen and I’d be hard pressed to turn anything down. Impressive lineups all!

Billecart-Simon Le Rose for me, but tbh I haven’t had the pleasure to meet a lot of these

  4. Top choice would be 2, followed by 5 in second place

Vintage Lilbert or Bedel. Opposite ends of spectrum but with personality. 5 or 6 just based on those bottles.

  6. What?!? No KRUG!?! Where’s the KRUG????!!!

Great wines on every table, but I may have to settle on … (drum roll) …
    TABLE NO. 5

  7. 3. Because it has the most wines I’ve never tried before.

  8. I really enjoyed Franck Bonneville last time around, which was 3 years ago, and haven’t seen it since, so I would choose slide 1. Honorable mention for pierre paillard on slide 4 which i tasted last weekend. Low dosage with a nice brioche/yeast on the nose is right up my alley.

3, all the way. Savart, Calsac, Cartogne, Peters, Vesselle. Hands down the best table. But this is a great Champagne tasting all around. Really strong lineup.

Charles Heidsieck is my favorite NV Champagne that you can buy at any time.

It’s like biting into a freshly baked brioche bread!

2 is the straightforward choice, because it has Cristal and the other Roederer and Heidsieck cuvées are also solid. But it’s pretty boring, half of them basically being entry level wines from big houses.

I would probably go with 3, because it has so much more variety and smaller, renowned producers.

5 – I’m a sucker for LP and Grand Siecle is one of my favs.

Table 3 or 4 any day, those are the ones with the most interesting bottles.

I absolutely love the wines of Franck Bonville. I’d go with table 1

Such.. a random selection by every supplier?

Number #6. Pierre Paillard, LaHerte Frères, and Marie-Courtin are producers that I have throughly enjoyed before. Both Paillards are Grand Crus as well. I wish I knew more about Champagne to give a better answer, but that’s what I have.

Oh that’s tough. 2 is full of champagne I like and highly rate, but the other tables have some I didn’t try before. So it depends how adventurous I’d be feeling in the moment.

The whole thing looks fantastic though.
