A brand-new bistro serving up classic French cuisine is set to open this week in Calgary, and it’s being brought to life by some familiar faces.
Brioche, a new project from the team behind the popular French wine bar Avitus, is set to open in Marda Loop on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Founded by a group of friends originating from the South of France with fond memories of enjoying meals with family and friends at their restaurants, Brioche aims to encapsulate that same feeling.
“At Brioche, we want to share that same spirit: a simple yet refined cuisine, comforting, warm, and full of heart. Our goal is to recreate the atmosphere we grew up in, those long, joyful meals that remind us of home,” the team said in an Instagram post.
Taking inspiration from the South of France, Brioche will be serving up timeless French classics such as Boeuf bourguignon and sandwiches such as Croques Monsieur and lobster rolls.
Alongside its lunch and dinner offerings, Brioche will also have an impressive wine list and a selection of creative cocktails.
Brioche is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday through Sunday.
