A week-long celebration themed Health, Culture and Innovation, organised by the Italian Embassy in Colombo in collaboration with leading hotels and top Italian restaurants, will begin on 15 November. The event will feature celebrated Italian chefs and five-star hotels across the city.

Exclusive Italian-themed menus, culinary masterclasses, and a special webinar on Italian pastry are planned for the tenth edition of the Worldwide Week of Italian Cuisine.

Highlighting Italy’s rich gastronomy and global food culture, the culinary week will bring together four five-star hotels and five renowned Italian restaurants, each presenting artisan-crafted menus that showcase authentic tastes and regional specialties.

Ahead of the celebrations, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) will host the webinar Alla Scoperta dell’Arte della Pasticceria Italiana on 13 November, offering an in-depth exploration of traditional Italian pastry techniques.

The Worldwide Week of Italian Cuisine, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, celebrates Italy’s culinary excellence, sustainability, and the cultural identity behind its food traditions.

Guests will experience regional dishes, interactive sessions, and insights into the connection between Italian food, agriculture, and sustainable living.
