Sardines with Bayonne ham and Espelette pepper by La Belle-Iloise
Although I am not stranger this brand, this is the first time I have tried this particular tin.
I was told, I had to give this one a try.
French sardines are in a class of their own. Much like classic French cooking, it always feels upscale and more sophisticated.
The texture of these were perfection, giving it a wonderful mouth feel.. tender but not too soft. The beautiful flavors of the sauce… gives you ragu vibes from the rich pork backward notes.
I have yet to meet a french sardine I do not like. La Perle, Ferrigno and La Belle-Iloise are showing the world why the french reigns supreme and this can is just a reminder of that.
Okay… I'm off my french soapbox now. Let's eat!
Thank you to my friend Anna for a beautiful gift ❤️

“Hits different”🙄
Tastes good?
I just had my first French tin a few days ago. Ferrigno Sardines a la Tapenade were amazing. Meaty and salty, but so much flavor. Now I will have to be on the lookout for more French tins.
Have had this can, almost too good!
🤤🤤🤤🤤
La belle iloise, my beloved.
Thanks for all the videos you put out, i love watching and forgetting the shit thats going on in my life, even if its just for a few minutes.
One of my all time favourite. I always go back to this one eventually.
Thank you so much for your videos. I have only been in the tinned fish game since March of this year. Your videos have opened up a whole new world to me. And are keeping me broke. 🙄🤦😄😉
I’m starting to almost enjoy you more than tinned fish reviews on fb. If you had a British accent you would win.
I am lucky to have a La Belle Iloise store in my French town. They make some of the best sardines 🙏
I dont eat pork, but you make these sound delicious.
I’ve always been quite underwhelmed by Belle Iloise compared to some of the cheaper brands we have in France.
Connetable is my go to for sardines, but Parallelles is my go to for Riga sprats… much more flavorful than Belle Iloise in my opinion
