Crème Brûlée is one of the most decadent desserts. The aptly named “burnt cream” is made with custard and a hard sugar top that is so delicious. Now, Costco’s bakery is selling its own version of Crème Brûlée, but it’s totally different from the classic French treat.

Instagram user Laura Jayne Lamb (@costcohotfinds) spotted a new Crème Brûlée Bar Cake at Costco this week! In a new video, Lamb said, “Costco Bakery just dropped a Crème Brûlée Bar Cake with a golden sugar accent.”

“This is made with an airy vanilla sponge cake,” she explained in the video, showing the cake outside of its packaging and when it’s sliced on a plate. “My favorite part is the crunchy Brûlée layer. This cake is light, it’s creamy, and it’s just the right amount of sweet.”

It looks so good. Nothing like the creamy custard, but with all the same flavor components that make this dessert so good. (Btw, we bet it would also be good with a side of berries, just like the traditional version.)

“I didn’t go to Costco for cake today but honestly, I needed this 🫠,” she captioned the post.

Everyone was excited for this new Bakery addition. One person commented, “Omg!! I hope this stays forever!!!!!!”

Someone else said, “Costco bar cakes are my weakness and I will be getting this 😋” Another said, “NO WAY! How could I miss this! I’ll go back. SEE! Lol”

The entire cake is available for $18.99 and makes for a perfect option on the Thanksgiving dessert table! Trust us: no one will be thinking of pie when this is on display.
