Looks delicious. I’m planning on maybe making it too.

It looks pretty good. Adding a little sautéed spinach might give it the typical appearance/color

It looks like there is a bit too much rice, and it could be spread more evenly.

The overlap of double rice on most pieces shows you spread the rice too close to the edge, with respect to the amount of filling in the roll.

However, if you choose to add more fillings maybe your rice is OK, it depends, then you can just focus on getting it spread thinner and more evenly.

    Otherwise, not bad!

If you have any left over for next day – you can coat it in some egg and cook it in the frying pan. Make sure you brown both sides 🙂

Also if you can get some, I like adding danmuji (the yellow pickled radish) to give it a slight acidic kick.

Add dan mu jji, the yellow daikon pickle

Agreed on the pickle (daikon or otherwise) and the spinach. Love me some greens. Nice job getting it rolled tightly enough to slice without falling apart!

Parroting the addition of green – I want to say that they look very evenly cut which can be a difficult part for some – good job!

I think maybe a bigger piece of the pickled radish would help.

A lot of people say put spinach but I actually really like using kale instead. Also sometimes it’s hard to find but picked yellow radish is a must, it’s so good.

Yellow pickled radish is a must to add.

The best tip I have is to season your rice good. Like the rice should be yummy to eat all by itself. Sneak in a little msg.

It’s not bad at all other than maybe a bit of spinach muchim for some color pop?

i’m korean and to make it look good, you need to add spinach.☘️☘️

Add something red and green to make it prettier. 😍(spinach/imitation crab or ham)

It’s perfect as it is though. Have more confidence.

    They look great!

For next time, keep in mind Koreans love colorful foods, so the spinach many others have mentioned is something I love in rolls. (Prepared lightly blanched with a little sesame oil, seeds, and a little salt or a light dash of soy sauce.)

    맛있게 드세요!

Theres no rules to kimball. Just add whatever you like. personally don’t like spinach so I add sautéed kale.
