Hey y'all, my first ever post here (I just creep) but I have crazy news. I stopped in at Ace to see some grills for my next adventure (I usually buy and sell in a year or so, so my grill/smoker use has been extensive as of late as I keep 2-3 around at any given time) and happened to discover with the worker a brand new Weber Kettle that hasn't been announced. It shows warehouse availability on the 19th of this month, future Ace availablilty in store without ordering is unknown still. It's a 22in kettle deluxe on a newly designed cart utilizing a fan and what looks to be a mini Smoque controller. It states the Weber can be used traditionally or with the fan controller to control temps. No ignition system is provided so lighting coals as usual. The photo is a legit print off thier PC in store about 10 mins ago and I'm located in the Midwest somewhere (not dropping an exact location). This is BIG news to me as an avid smoker/griller. Thoughts/questions????

To add, according to their (Ace hardware) internal system, the current performer model is to be discontinued when this is released. Take that with a grain of salt.

To compete with spider grills venom and thermoworks billows?

I’ve owned 2 of the 26″ model and would never go back to the 22″…EXCEPT…
the companies that make rotisserie rings only make them for the 22″ now, so I might have to

Weber once again refuses to give the people what they want, a 26″ performer at this price point

Smart grills are the worst idea.

Weber is still just trying to keep up in the BBQ game. Nothing new here

Fuckin dumb. You’re going to end up with a Weber subscription just to burn some burgers before too long.

With it saying housing material is porcelain will this be like a weber branded green egg?
