Somebody in a FB smoking group posted this up. His dad won it playing cards 40 years ago. I can’t say I’ve seen anything like it, except maybe an old tulip style grill, but that didn’t have a firebox. Looks neat but I’m suspicious about its effectiveness. TYIA

It’s like a tiny water tower. Not sure what was “restored” on it; lots of weld points. I’d like to see it run some ribs or a brisket

Well it looks like an overinflated football… so

Looks like the old hamburger thing on the McDonald’s playground.

I’d like to see inside! Like I wonder if the upper grill has a floor for putting charcoal up there for direct heat/grilling/searing?

Looks like the old round sinks with foot pedal opperation

That’s a Black Manta. Good for smoking fish.

That’s pretty cool. I’d use that.

I presume there’s a circular grill grate at the largest part of the upper disc?  Does it rotate, so you could put some meat on at the hinged door and rotate it to the back?

That’s mine, must have flown away on it’s own again!! Just leave it in the drive way and I’ll get it back into position.

That’s rad whatever it is. I wouldn’t try to make a brisket on it, but for forgiving cooks it would be a hell of a crowdpleaser.

Looks like a factory wash up sink for workers locker room. Then someone took a second one and used it to make the top. I’ve seen these in a old ship yard. There would be eight to ten washing up at the same time.

I would love to see the inside of that beast.

It the ends from a 500 or a 1000 gallon tank that was welded together and then the lid was cut it’s rather cool that someone made things from what most people would say is useless junk good job to the builder it looks good and I’m sure it cooks great as well

*woah, it came out of the sky, landed just a little south of Moline / Jody fell out of his tractor, couldn’t believe what he seen / well he laid on the ground and shook, a-fearin’ for his life / then he ran all the way to town screaming “it came out of the sky”*

I don’t think that story is true, and this was a more recent smoker build.
