I checked my app today and the meals I posted on my original post (and only those meals!) have been changed to be seemingly real photos? This means they did have photos of the actual recipes but chose to post the ai ones instead, perhaps seeing if we’d notice the change (newsflash- we did) the recipes cards are still ai generated tbough, but they have been for a while.

I won’t hold out hope, though. It sounds like they already fired all their food artists and this was probably the last of it. They tried to test out slowly easing us into the AI and it didn’t work.
I compared an old card from the beginning of this year to a more recent card from this week of the same meal, and the photos were identical, the more recent one was just terribly over-edited and saturated, making it look kind of fake. But it was clearly the exact same real photo of the same burrito.
Real photos? Or did they tell the AI to try again to make the food look less perfect/more realistic?
So bizarre. I don’t understand why they would even use those gross looking AI images when these look genuinely appetizing
