DELAWARE, Ohio (WSYX) — A local dining favorite is set for a revival.

Acclaimed chef Josh Dalton announced on social media that Rosebud’s is coming back, just weeks after he closed the restaurant.

Dalton, who previously ran the popular spot, said that in its new iteration, he will take on more of an advisory role, helping with menus and overall development while stepping back from daily operations. An official reopening date has not yet been announced.

In October, he also closed 1808 American Bistro in Delaware, though he did not reveal any plans to bring that restaurant back.

Dalton is also expanding his culinary footprint in the region. He is taking over the former Milestone 229 along the Scioto Riverfront, planning a yet-to-be-named restaurant slated to open in the spring. The menu will feature Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, with influences from Southern Europe, Northern Africa, and the Middle East.

Additionally, Dalton is planning a new Mexican restaurant, Rosalita’s, on Gay Street in Columbus, set to open next summer.
