Hello everyone,
On the highest setting, it only seems to reach a weak simmer, when cooking with my de buyer alchimy.
I am using an electric ceramic cooktop (glass-top).
The pan has the correct diameter for the heating element/hob.
There are no visible flaws in the pan's construction.
It sits perfectly flat on the stovetop and was preheated long enough.
The video shows the maximum intensity of the simmer; it doesn't get any stronger, even after waiting longer.
The thing is, that my carbon steel pan, which I normally use, gets much hotter (or: boils much more vigorously) under the exact same conditions. Is it normal?

Looks fine to me
Even a weak simmer is too high for slow cooking.
