Macari’s, which has been a family-run favourite in the area for years, will welcome locals on December 25 from 12pm to 3pm.
The community initiative, which is an annual tradition for the popular chippy, is designed to ensure everyone can enjoy a hot meal and festive company on Christmas Day.
A spokesperson for Macari’s said: “We’d like to thank everyone for the continued support you have shown myself, staff and my family.
“The shop will be open again this year on Christmas Day from 12pm to 3pm.
“All meals will be free and there will be no limit on ordering.
“We would be grateful if you could spread the word to anyone who may benefit from this service.”
In a bid to reach as many people in need as possible, customers are encouraged to share the initiative with anyone they think might benefit from a free meal and some company on Christmas Day.
After the festive season, the team at Macari’s will take a well-earned break from December 26 to January 8.
