LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has arrested John Navarro, 35, in connection with an explosion Thursday morning outside Piero’s Italian Cuisine near Paradise Road and Convention Center Drive.
Navarro is facing multiple charges, including using explosives to damage or destroy property and first-degree arson.
Authorities reported that two individuals had placed a bomb in front of the restaurant, located across from the convention center.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Several agencies, including Metro’s counter-terrorism unit, participated in the investigation.
