Hey all – I’ve had my CC woodwind 36 for like 4 years now but haven’t used it for the majority of this year. Popped it opened yesterday because I’m finally getting around to cooking on it and notice a lot of paint chipping and rust buildup on the inside and outside. The smoker is amazing to cook with but all the paint chipping and rust is very disappointing, especially since it’s always covered when not in use.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Am I going to have to break the smoker down, clean and sand it, and then repaint? Has anyone ran into this issue with theirs?

  1. This is a break down and fix/repair issue. Or replace

Sand it down and repaint with high heat paint. Mine is doing the same (think close to 6 years old). I don’t cover mine ,its partially covered by an awning.
