I hope it’s okay that I post this here even though my question isn’t directly related to the main focus of this community but I’m currently in the middle of rebranding my family’s small ice cream shop — its something we're deeply proud of.
The shop is on the verge of closing due to a significant rent increase from my landlord. We can no longer sustain the shop the way it currently is, so I’ve decided to fight for it by expanding what we offer. My goal is to transform the ice cream shop into a space that also serves pastries and coffee so we can attract more customers, increase revenue, and hopefully save the business.
But here’s where I need help. I know this community isn’t centered around pastries or coffee, so I’m hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. Are there any subreddits, forums, or online communities that focus on:
Coffee drinks, espresso basics, café management, or recipe development
General guidance for people adding pastries or coffee to an existing food business
Pastry recipes or bakery operations.
To know if anyone has tried anything like this before and if so how was your experience ?
Any recommendations or redirects would mean a lot.

I don’t know if you’ve done this already, but before anything else make sure you’re looking at what other ice cream shops that sell pastries are offering. It’ll help narrow down your search and give you an idea of what’s successful right now.
Do you have any baking equipment for the shop already, and if so, what?
$5K to renovate the store?
I’m not a professional, but it strikes me that baking pastries and making ice cream are completely different skills that also require completely different equipment. Could you find a local baker who is growing their business beyond home baking and partner with them? You could at least have a good time sampling locally baked pastries
