Recipe

Saw this recipe on Instagram and had to try it. It is an absolute show stopper but compared to a tarte tatin or a classic apple pie. I'm not sure it's as good. There's a lot of butter in this recipe(which is usually a good thing) but I think in this case it drowns a lot of the flavors and textures. All in all though, this was really fun to make and the end result is impressive.

It needs a good dollop of fresh cream.

Beautiful, what is the filling under the apples?

These always look so pretty but like you said in the op its taste doesn’t match.

That looks like something straight out of a patisserie window. I can imagine the texture being more subtle than a tart tatin, but honestly, the presentation alone makes it worth the bake.

This is amazing. Gonna see if I can replicate something similar for Thanksgiving. Great job!

Do you think cutting the butter down to 1/4 c would do the trick?

    >Prettiest tart I ever made

That’s actually what my mom says about me

  12. Macerate the apples and cook down the liquid before pouring it back over the apples before baking. It brings out the apple flavors a bunch.

Your tart is the prettiest tart of all the tarts.

Did you have a rat under your chef’s hat while making this?
