Please don’t judge me too hard since it’s my first go EVER on these cookies🥺🙈
I’m planning on doing cookies for my best friend’s grooming salon opening this weekend. These were my trial cookies. I’m pretty satisfied with this trial batch, it was mainly to test the icing consistency, working with outlining, flooding etc.
I feel like I did the wrong order with the dogs (some don’t even look like dogs IK😭) but how could I do this the right way? Like the fluffy heads and paws? Should I outline the detail from the beginning and flood every detail seperately? I’m having a big brain fart and can’t really get my head around it. Any feedback is welcome!
Btw it’s just a gift for fun, she doesn’t pay for it or anything☺️

Cute lil penis dog
I think these are super cute and also honestly amazing for your first try. There’s a lot you’ve nailed already. I have a hard time envisioning animal cookies specifically, I usually need minimally a photo of a dog to go off of. However, I think the white dogs are really close to being what I envision you’re going for. I bet if you outline and flood that big poofy head separately and then add some detail to it afterwards, you’ll get really nice differentiation. I’ve also found when making dogs and cats in the past, if I can add a stripe or spot appropriately it really helps bring them to life. Your cookies seem like they may be really small? Increases the cute factor but also the difficulty factor when it comes to adding details.
