I'm not much of a red meat person, but my husband wanted steak and salad so I thought I would try! Any advice for next time is super appreciated 🙂

I have probably done thousands of steaks, and that looks like you nailed it!
    Nice work!

First steak is a rite of passage if it sizzled and didn’t turn into shoe leather you nailed it.

My only advice is to ask your husband if he’d mind a spot for me at the table.

That steak is one of the best I’ve ever seen.

  4. The temp looks great. I would confirm if hubby has a preference bc there are people out there that prefer well done. (I am not one of those so put away your pitchforks)

    How was it seasoned?

Only suggestion would be to plate it to the side of the salad. Heat wilts lettuce. Otherwise, nailed it.

    Looks incredible! Great job!!

If you got your husband’s thumbs up, check out some recipes for grilled steak on top of arugula, strawberries, goat cheese & balsamic dressing as the salad. The base salad is so good by itself too!

    Edit: why the downvotes?

As a chef, if one of my cooks set that in the pass id make damn sure to tell them how nice it looks.

Oh dang this looks good! Nice work, I nearly set my kitchen on fire the first time I tried to cook steak

Very nice. The saturation boost on the photo makes it look a bit odd, though.

My only advice for next time is you dont have to turn the saturation up so high on the photo of your next perfect steak.
