How much protein does it have? It should be more than 12grams. Is it cut with bronze? Is it slow dried?

It’s good….maybe very good but not excellent? Would think the drying is still a bit industrial and fast, it’s more yellow than other high quality bronze cut pasta brands

Sometimes when visiting this sub I wonder if this is all a big circlejerk. Yeah there is a difference between pasta, but people act like they could taste the difference between 20 different brands of pasta while eating a rich sauce with it.
90% of Pasta have the same ingredients in it and 99% of people couldnt taste a difference while blind testing.

Theres a difference between the bottom shelf cheap pasta and brands with proper ingredients and care, but upon the normal/good brands its just not a huge difference.

Fine but overpriced. Also a bit strange that they added a matte viewing window that makes the pasta look even duller. De Cecco is probably better value.

The deciding cost factor in pasta aren’t the ingredients or the bronze forms, it’s the drying time. Low quality pasta like Barilla <= 6 hours. They nearly fry it at 60°C, which leads to the starch kind of coagulating. Therefore the yellowish colour. High quality pasta dries up to 24 hours and more, which needs a lot of space and significantly lowers the production capacity.

    Barilla al bronzo is good.

If I can’t get La Molisana, that is my next go to.

Do the research on the additives in their pasta. One of them that relates to protein actually comes from bugs. I saw a presentation where they were explaining what some of the wording in the ingredients meant. And that’s always been my favorite pasta. So sad. I know during regular production critters get into our food, but when they’re intentionally putting it in there…

Barilla is a ok brand. Good. Better than most mass produced pasta. Probably best of the low budget brands.
