Hey y'all, I made salsa for the first time and it didn't end up being as spicy as I was expecting/wanting but it still ended up pretty good! Let me know any tips y'all have for making salsa

Ingredients:
1 beefsteak tomato
4 Roma tomatoes
4 jalapeño chiles
2 serrano chiles
1 poblano chile
~8 cloves of garlic (I didn't count + I love garlic)
1 tsp better than bouillon chicken
1 tbsp crushed chipotle

I don’t understand how those ingredients resulted in this color but welcome to the club man. If you want it to be spicier you can always up the chilli count or use some dried chilies like Arbol (be sure to look up how to rehydrate them).

As far as the spice level not being what you hoped… chiles can vary wildly in how spicy they are. Could just be the jalapeños and serranos you used weren’t very spicy.

I’d recommend including chile de arbol in the future to boost the spiciness more reliably

As others have said chile de Arbol will add a lot of heat. You could also sub a few of the jalapeños for Serranos or just generally have a larger ratio of chiles to tomatoes
