spent the day doing some shopping on Lincoln Ave and decided to wander over to Roscoe Village to try this place after seeing it recommended!! got harassed by a man on the street just before this so walking in to what was clearly a neighborhood-favorite, family-run joint immediately felt like entering a safe zone lol

the owner was SO sweet and insisted that I sample like six different drinks (guava, passion fruit, Mexican lemonade?, horchata, and a mixture of the passion fruit and Mexican lemonade) since it was my first time there and they were all incredible and not too sweet. Incredibly refreshing if you order something super savory like I did.

The quesabirria was hot, fresh, super juicy, and generously filled. The guac is also a large portion (much bigger than I expected but I tore it tf up lol), and the drinks are a good size as well. I think everything needed more salt, but you get a lot of underlying flavor regardless, and it was so fresh and hearty that I honestly didn’t really give a damn lol

The owner also single handedly snatched a bee out of the air and put it outside when he noticed I was quietly fighting for my life in its danger zone and I will forever be in debt to this establishment for that

Overall great food and an excellent vibe so I def recommend!!!
