My mother used to cook scrapple for my Dad and tell me I shouldn’t eat it. I loved it when I was a kid though. Now I know why she said that. Wow.Â

The oatmeal scrapple is very like the kind my family made, but we used steel-cut oats and cooked it slowly in the oven before chilling and frying. Delicious!
