In addition to the inaugural dinner, which took place Sunday evening at Villa Hesperia, the residence of the Italian ambassador to Algiers, the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World includes six main stops in the North African capital
Already yesterday, students from the Algerian National Hotel School (Eshra) participated in a masterclass dedicated to Italian culinary art, featuring chefs from Campania from Il Bikini restaurant in Vico Equense, Chef Giorgio Scarselli and Executive Chef Pasquale Rinaldo.
The culinary initiative continues today, Tuesday, with the taping of a cooking show at Samira Tv, a widely watched thematic TV channel in the country, where Italian chefs will offer specialties of Campania cuisine, giving the public a taste of the region’s gastronomic tradition
Next, the culinary event makes a stop at the Roma School in Algiers, where pupils will participate in a cooking workshop dedicated to the preparation of pizza
The third event scheduled for today will be held at the Italian Cultural Institute in Algiers, where, according to the program established by the Italian Embassy, the film ‘Non morirò di fame’ by director Umberto Spinazzola will be screened, followed by a buffet of traditional Campania finger food prepared by Italian chefs
Tomorrow, the Maison des Mets restaurant, also in Algiers, will host a practical lesson on the preparation of fresh pasta, while on Thursday the final outdoor event will be held on an esplanade in the heart of the white city dedicated to the tasting of typical Campanian dishes, which will allow the public to discover the flavors and traditions of the region in a convivial setting
