I mean, if you’re going to make a pasta dish that only has butter, at least you’re using a pasta shape known to hold onto sauces. But this is still sad.

I sometimes eat this with some added peas and hot sauce, I usually use extra virgin olive oil instead of butter though.

if you did peas, the pasta would look “parisiense”

Buttered noodles with Pepto Bismol chunks

Honestly sounds good! Needs like, way more ham imo. What kind of cheese did you use?

My 6 year old daughter would SMASH this

  7. Bacon is better. Also use the noodles that look like a coiled snake for better sauce coverage.

Recipe sounds fine, but why does the ham look so artificial? Something’s off about that pink

I’d have added some peas, and probably given my plate a solid rationing of pepper.

This is not shitty food, this is my childhood.

“Carbonara Ala Poverty” presented in a rustic plating style.

I think you’re in the wrong sub for this! Looks pretty tasty to me! Pasta, butter and parmesan are like three of the four major food groups! (Beer being the fourth 😉 )

We should start a “sandwiches as pasta” series. Also, I’ve made this, and it’s as tasty as you think it is.

Wonder if it’d go down a bit better next time if the ham was browned a bit first? Chuck it in a pan for a few minutes then badda bing badda boom no more “pesto bimol pasta” lol. Though you might get “leather chunks pasta” instead 😅

I’ve paid $18 for something that looks just like this at a tourist trap in Italy

I think if you fried the ham, i’d actually try it. Almost like a struggle carbonara ✨

I would skip the ham, and use grated Parmesan cheese.

  18. TwinkBronyClub

This would probably slap more if you browned the ham.
