I took some seeds from a grocery tomato, and kept one of the plants and I am growing her indoors under a lamp. The flowers are turning into small little tomatoes now and it's super exciting! But I am wondering how long it can generally take for them to be fully ripe? And what do you guys usually use as a nutrient for the plants?
Thanks in advance!

It depends on the type of tomato. If it’s small like a cherry tomato, it will grow and ripen very quickly. Maybe 2-3 weeks. If its a big beefsteak tomato it could take 6-8 weeks. It also depends on light and temperature conditions. A tomato with more light and higher temperatures ripens quicker. As for fertilizer, I use espoma tomato tone for my tomatoes. In a pot i usually feed every 2 weeks. In a larger space like a big planter I do once a month
