The ninth annual Food Awards England were held in Birmingham on Monday night, with a city eatery bagging one of the top prizes.
These prestigious awards honour the restaurants, chefs, eateries, suppliers and various food establishments across England.
The top award for Best Mediterranean Establishment for the South of England went to Jorge’s Restaurant in Norwich.
Jorge and Eleanor Santos, who own the restaurant, said: “We won! Thank you for your votes!
“This is only possible because we have the best guests and the most amazing team!

Found in Orford Yard in Red Lion Street, the Portuguese menu spotlights tapas, seafood and steak dishes inspired by the traditional food served in the Iberian Peninsula.
The restaurant is no stranger to accolades, having won the title of Best Mediterranean Restaurant in Norfolk in the Southern Enterprise Awards 2023 and being named Best Surf and Turf Restaurant in the Restaurant and Bar Awards 2024.
