Hello everybody and welcome back to the channel guys and girls. Now today we’re doing episode two of Runup to Christmas turkeys. If you never seen episode one, I’ll leave it at the end of the video. Now this one I’ve been to Iceland. Now this one you got to raise up your pros and cons a little bit. It cost me 30 quid for a frozen turkey. Now it says cook from frozen. I think it’s three and a half hours or defrost for 48 hours. Now, I think if you’re defrosting it for 48 hours, you might as well buy a turkey, might you? Cuz you get a turkey a lot cheaper. So, you weighs up the pros and cons yourself, guys. But this is about this frozen one. Let me show you. So, we’ve got a cook from frozen luxury perfect turkey crown topped with smoked bacon. Easy carved. Serves 8 to 10. Oven ready bake in the bag. 2.3 kg guys. This one is and it says on the back for best results cook from defrost. That’s why I said basically you weighs up the pros and cons yourself. Defrost for 48 hours or cook from frozen for 3 and 1 half hours. It’s entirely up to you. I’m not going to tell you which is which. But we will have a look and see what it looks like and how it comes out once it’s cooked. So, let’s get it open. And I’m upside down. Typical. There it is. Now, on last week’s one, I cooked it in that. I’m not going to do that today. I’m going to cook it in me own tin because then you get better juices. You’re not going to see a lot at first. So, I get me own tin and I’m going to take it out of that because it’s not wide enough. There we go. Now that’s going to go in. Guys, what I’m going to do is basically the same. I’m going to probably every hour I’m just going to put a little bit of base over the top just to keep it nice and juicy. You ain’t really going to see that are until towards the end anyway. Okay, guys. Right then. I’ve been basting it. I’ve based it after about an hour and a half now. It’s very, very fatty. I took a little video. I’ll show you. It’s very fatty. It’s fat everywhere. That’s the point of these videos really. I’ll do it so we can so I can show you. It’s all at the side and everything. Look. So, what I’m going to do, it’s been 2 hours 45 minutes. I’m going to take it out the paper and I’m going to just plunk it into me tray. Look at it, guys. See? Look at all this. I know it’s not cooked yet, but look. You know what I mean? So, we’re going to put it back in now for the last hour. Well, until it’s cooked and we’re just going to see what happens. But I’m not holding me breath, guys. So, guys, there it is. I just this second took it out. So, now we’re going to leave it to rest for half an hour. I’ll cover it up and then we’ll cut it open and see. I got my opinion straight away. So, so there guys is your luxury perfect turkey crown from Iceland. What do you reckon? Now, don’t forget it doesn’t look bad bad. But it was 30 quid. 30 pound that was. That’s what you got to remember. 30 quid. Let’s get it. One of these good old bit of string cut off and let’s give it a cut. £30. Luxury. Luxury. Perfect. CR. Look at all this. Let’s get this bit off first so we can have a look at this bit. There it is. You got your juices in there. Cut a couple of slices. What do you reckon, guys? Don’t look too bad, does it? Actually, there. It’s all in the taste, ain’t it? But with all that fat that was on it and for30, let’s have a little taste. Right then, let’s get into it. turkey. He’s falling apart. So, it’s nice and soft. It’s not as nice as last week’s, but I think that was because it was with stuffing. But this ain’t too bad, you know. Okay, let’s try a little bit of this bacon. Nice bit of smoke on the bacon there. Let me get nap to try some. Get me my mic off so you can She’s not going to come on. She’s going to stand behind me camera. Thank you. Have a good soft it. M. And it’s juicy. And it’s juicy. It’s got a nice taste to it. It’s nice, isn’t it? Is that the stuffing? No, there’s no stuffing in this one. That’s just off the bacon. It’s got a herb. I think it says on the box. It says on the box. I did read it. Luxury perfect turkey crown topped with smoked bacon. Boneless skin on turkey crown with added water topped with sunflower oil, herbs, and spices. That’s what it is. I like that. It’s nice. It doesn’t look very uh Doesn’t look very appetizing, does it? No. But it’s nice. It is got a nice flavor. But my thing is it’s 30 quid. 30 pound bab that was. And you and as I’m saying, if you want to cook it from defrosted, you might as well buy a turkey for 17 quid, might you? That’s not worth. It’s not worth 30 quid, is it? It tastes nice, but it’s not. It’s nice, but it’s nowhere near 30 quid, guys, for 2 kg. That’s my opinion anyway. Um, yeah, it’s a lot of money for that. And it’s luxury. Supposed to look luxury. It does taste nice though, I must admit that. But I think it’s a ripoff with the price. That’s my opinion. You’ll have to let me know what you think. Next week I’m going to be doing something a bit cheaper. I’ve done a£25 and I’ve done my 30. We’ll do a a little one next week from somewhere. Um, I got to think of what I’m going to do with the rest of that tomorrow. We’re going to have some of that for dinner. I’m just doing myself some roast potatoes and that just from which I got from Iceland’s. They’re luxury roast potatoes. So guys, thank you for watching. What do you reckon? Would you buy that for 30 quid? Till the next time, we’ll see you later. So I’ve cut myself a few pieces of turkey off. There is me roast potatoes. That’s just stuffing from Audi and Yorkshire puddings from Audi and me green beans which I got from Tesco’s which are microwave ones and they’re quite nice actually guys to be honest with you them. Three for two quid and there’s the rest of the turkey. So tune in tomorrow to see what I’ll do with that. So it be something nice and simple. Just sitting down eating dinner at the end here that’s all. Could done some gravy. One lad’s had some. The other lad’s having a burger. There’s mine. That’s not enough gravy, darling. I’ll do some more, babe. So, guys, all in all, it’s all about the turkey. That’s what it was about. And it is nice, isn’t it? It’s got a nice flavor and a nice taste. Doesn’t look the best, but it’s all in the taste. Now, I’m going to leave it entirely up to you for 30 quid, but I just thought I’d show you. I’m going to have a little bit more of it. So, thank you for watching, guys. It’s a like a subscribe. I’ll put part one uh episode one at the end of this. Now, we’ll see you later. Bye-bye.

  1. Me and Missis Smithy got a massive Pork joint and half leg of Lamb for £15 off Bescot Market! The meat has been very good off the van as well! Top video as always Keith, no way would I pay £30 for this though 👍 ….Smithy

  2. Try farm foods turkey crown 14.99 servers about 7 to 10 people or 9.99 for a smaller one I
Baiste it with goose fat was lovely last year

  3. A frozen brine injected pile of crap they call a turkey crown. 87% turkey breast, a bit of bacon (about 3%), so what is the other 10%? Yep, FAT and water, that's what made it look bigger than it was. Even if as you say you do these things so anyone here doesn't, well no one here in their right mind would even if you didn't do a video. You can imagine the 87% turkey breast is a lie too. NO turkey breasts are that big, so it was mushed together. As in processed crap. If I was you Keith I'd get a fresh turkey ASAP and actually freeze it yourself as you probably WON'T get one as Christmas nears A because of the rush for them and B a huge shortage of them because of bird flu. And after looking at that vid I'm wondering did the turkey(s) used for that crown have it 😆😆😆😆

  4. Wouldn't buy a turkey crown. They are dry AF, no matter where they come from.
02:43 that looks like sometime I'd feed the dog on a bad day. 🤮

  5. That looks most unappetising. The skin is not crispy and I like my meat cut thin, I doubt you could cut it thin it would fall to pieces.

  6. You should look at the Asda Black Friday deals
Also, you and Nat should try out the Asda breakfast I think it’s definitely got better well my local Asda Cafe

  7. Doesn't look bad at all. Iceland are usually pretty good at cheap food, to be fair. I think the price comes down closer to Christmas.

  8. If you can get a fresh turkey for less than £30 get it , seen one to pre order starts from £50, Also the white stuff that came out of the turkey was salt from the brine that the turkeys are soaked in before freezing.

  9. Beans on toast followed by some walnut cake and a cuppa jobdone! Its only another day, Each to their own i suppose.

  10. Hi guys, hope ur both doing well. I have missed about a whole year. You randomly popped up on my feed and I'm so glad u did. Great to be back xx

  11. Only once did I find a Turkey breast, just one, it was in the chilled section and huge ,enough for the whole family and leftovers (we have pork/beef aswell) I'm sure they only did it once but it saved a lot of waste being thrown into the bin after a few days

  12. As I live on my own happily I went to M&S and got my Turkey dinner £6.50 it’s in the freezer for Xmas day.Never disappointed .
