Kebabs are widely considered to be the sandwiches of the Middle East, but don’t pigeonhole the dish like that. It can come in a myriad of variants. You usually only see it in pasar malams or mid-range restaurants, but I promise that there are plenty of hawkers who sell it too.

But that begs the question, where can you find kebabs in Singapore? From franchises, restaurants, to humble hawkers, here are 10 kebab places in Singapore that will satisfy your Mediterranean cravings.

1. Stuff’dKebabs Guide - stuff'd stall

No kebab list is complete without mentioning Stuff’d, the brand that arguably popularised kebabs as a healthy meal in Singapore. They started with a single humble outlet at City Square Mall in 2014, before expanding across Singapore. Furthermore, they have also given back to the community with their various programmes, giving free food to children in need.

Their kebabs have a wide selection of meats and toppings to choose from. There is Chicken (S$6), Beef (S$6.50), and Ultimate (S$6.70), which is a mix of both. Seasonal flavours are also commonplace at Stuff’d. All in all, it’s one of the biggest Turkish food chains in Singapore that also gives back, what’s not to love?

Kebabs Guide - Sultan Kebab

Kebabs Guide – Sultan Kebab

Sultan Kebab first opened in a hawker centre in Ang Mo Kio, but soon moved to Maxwell Food Centre in 2023. Ever since the move, the stall has become a staple of the area and a must-try for anyone seeking out Turkish cuisine in Singapore.

Of course, they offer your standard Chicken Kebab Wrap (S$9), which is a bit pricey but worth it. However, I think their Chicken Iskander Kebab (S$16) is worth shouting out. You’ve likely never heard of an Iskander Kebab, and I don’t blame you. It’s a bit like a deconstructed pie, with chicken and pita bread slathered in rich tomato sauce.

Sultan Kebab’s variant comes with a tangy yoghurt sauce and a generous portion of chicken that absolutely justifies the price tag. It’s hard to come across such rare dishes in Singapore, so make your way down!

Kebabs Guide - Taibah Arabic

Kebabs Guide – Taibah Arabic

Taibah Arabic in Kampung Admiralty Hawker Centre is considered the best-rated Middle Eastern stall in Singapore. Run by a lady boss who used to operate a restaurant along Arab Street, they have a whole menu of Middle Eastern delights like Maqluba Rice (S$10) and Knafehs (S$10).

Their Kebab (S$5 for Chicken, S$7 for Beef, S$8 for Mixed) is a simple, no-frills pasar malam-style kebab that’s cut into 2 shorter rolls, perfect to share with a friend. I was thoroughly surprised by how juicy and tender their Chicken kebabs were, with the vegetables still crunchy even after being left on the table for a few minutes as I took photos.

4. Turk’s KebabKebabs Guide - Turk's Kebab

Turk’s Kebab in Parklane Shopping Mall is more like a food stand than a hawker stall. Tucked away in an unassuming corner of the mall, it’s the literal definition of a hidden gem. Their 4.8/5 stars in 176 Reviews don’t lie!

The sheer variety of kebabs they have will leave you spoilt for options. Outside of the regular Kebab Roll (S$7), you have things like a Kebab Sandwich (S$7.50), Kebab Hummus (S$9), and Kebab Rice (S$8). You have the option to add extra Cheese (S$1) and Hummus (S$2) to all of them.

Kebabs Guide - ZuZu Kebab

Kebabs Guide – ZuZu Kebab

Singaporeans love to queue, and a queue is usually an indicator of something good. Well, that’s exactly what you’ll find at Zuzu Kebab in Serangoon Garden Market & Food Centre. The stall is a one-man operation, so wait times can extend to as long as an hour during peak periods. But trust me when I say that the wait is more than worth it.

Their Chicken Kebab (S$9) is a hefty roll of goodness. Each bite is bursting with the succulent juciness of the grilled chicken, the accompanying lettuce and tomatoes adding a good crunch to every bite. The portion size and amount of ingredients alone make the price tag worth it. The kebab also comes with a Mutton (S$11) variant, if that suits your taste buds.

6. Gaziantep DelightKebabs Guide - Gaziantep Delight

Gaziantep Delight in Holland Drive Market & Food Centre hit the headlines in 2024 for their “AI-powered kebabs“. The owner invested close to S$16,000 in a machine that both cooks and slices the kebab meat, and he’s very proud of it. You’ll be surprised to hear that the stall has received glowing reviews.

Kebabs Guide - Gaziantep Doner Kebab

Their Doner Kebab Wrap comes at an affordable S$6.50. Don’t underestimate this kebab just because it’s a little smaller than the rest, it’s still equally as flavourful and packed with savoury and crunchy goodness. Purple cabbage, carrots, and lettuce make up a simple combination of vegetables. Who knew that a kebab made by a machine could taste so good?

7. Bosphorus Turkish KebapKebabs Guide - Bosphorus Turkish Kebap

When it comes to authentic Turkish cuisine, no stall can rival Bosphorus Turkish Kebap in Golden Mile Food Centre. It was opened by a Turkish-born chef named Oktay Sahin, who moved to Singapore with his Vietnamese wife after losing his restaurant in Bali during the pandemic.

Mr Sahin insists on using only the freshest ingredients imported directly from Turkey, renting out a warehouse unit to store them. Bottles of pomegranate sauce, jars of dried mint, and olive oil are commonplace in his kitchen. Mr Sahin’s motto is “Hotel-class food, hawker centre price”, how ambitious!

That’s why Mr Sahin’s loyal customers love his Butter Rice & Chicken Kebab (S$8). Well-marinated chicken kebab is laid onto fragrant and fluffy butter rice, which isn’t oily at all. Finally, it’s topped off by a scoop of yoghurt and vegetables. People call it wholesome and healthy, and I have to agree.

8. Doner Kebab TurkishKebabs Guide - Donerkebab Turkish

How far are you willing to travel for a good kebab? How about all the way to The Arcade at Raffles Place? That’s where Doner Kebab Turkish is located, a stall so good that it has people travelling from other countries just to try their food.

Kebabs Guide - tombik kebab

Don’t let your eyes deceive you, this isn’t a burger. It’s actually a Tombik Kebab (S$10/11). Patrons love the huge and generous portions. It’s loaded with plenty of healthy vegetables, which are carefully layered in the bun for maximum crunch. They definitely don’t skimp out on the chicken or lamb meat. You have tons of options for sauces too, like Garlic Aioli, Hummus, Yoghurt, and much more.

9. 17 Turkish Doner KebabKebabs Guide - 17 Turkish Doner Kebab

You don’t normally find kebabs in food courts and food centres in malls, which is what makes 17 Turkish Doner Kebab in Broadway Food Centre so special. If you ever find yourself in Sim Lim Square, visit this stall, as the food centre is connected via the basement.

Kebabs Guide - 17 Turkish chicken kebab

Their chicken kebab meat in their Chicken Kebab Roll (S$7) is insanely tender and unlike anything else; don’t forget their Beef Kebab Roll (S$8) too. The tortilla skin tears right off the roll with the gentlest of bites. The Tombik bread in their Tombik Kebab (S$7/8) is masterfully made as well, crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside.

Kebabs Guide - petes mediterranean grill

Kebabs Guide – petes mediterranean grill

Pete’s Mediterranean Grill in AlibabaR The Hawker Bar was opened by none other than Chef Peter Omar, who was born in Iraq. The location is a semi-open coffee shop concept, with Chef Peter chatting up a storm with customers on the regular. While the food is a little bit on the pricier end, I argue it’s worth it for a special night out with your family.

The kebabs are some of the cheapest items on the menu. Their Lamb Kebab (S$17), Beef Kebab (S$14), Chicken Kebab (S$10), and Falafel Kebab (S$13) are all priced under S$20. I know the prices seem steep, but the quality of the food is unmatched. This is the perfect family dinner spot, or even a late-night beer spot.
