Welcome to Meals That Got Me Through College. This is a $3 portion of spicy and garlicky cherry tomato pasta. Get a pan hot and throw in some olive oil to coat. Toss in some thinly sliced garlic, and I mean lots of garlic. I think I use like five cloves. I can never get enough. Also, toss in some cherry tomatoes as well as a generous amount of salt. This is going to draw out the moisture and make the tomatoes break down and let all of their tomato juices out. Some of them may need some help to burst, but eventually you will be left with a thick and satisfying sauce. Now add some sliced chili to make it spicy and some fresh basil leaves from your local basil leaf generator. Throw in the pasta and crucially some of the pasta water. This is going to make everything nice and thick and just toss until everything is smooth. And if you want a lot more recipes like this one, my cookbook, Tasty, Healthy Cheap, is just the thing for you. You can gift it to a sibling or a friend who’s in college and sucks at cooking or just to yourself.
