Thanks dude! Just ordered my first ever charcoal grill.
I’m brand new to charcoal grilling and have a question to the experts: some of the reviews mention that this particular smaller grill does not have the bottom “vent” to control air flow/temperature like the other kettles, but rather it looks like they have holes on the sides. Wouldn’t those side holes be above the charcoal itself thus making it harder to control air flow? A bit concerning but for 20 bucks I figure this is a great way to learn nonetheless.

Have a smoker, gas grill, and a griddle. Want a 4th for doing steak/burgers on charcoal. Will this get hot enough to sear a steak?
