This morning, I was wondering if there was even a point in writing notes for a Beaujolais Nouveau, but then I tasted this and was frankly impressed (given what it is).
It’s darker than you’d expect, with tart and bright red fruit, lovely acidity, and a medium-length earthy finish. Probably the best Beaujolais Nouveau I’ve ever had (slightly better than the Pierre-Marie Chermette from 2 years ago), and something I’d probably blind as a Beaujolais-Villages from a decent producer rather than anyone’s Nouveau. Yummy stuff.
A very worthy bottle to celebrate this year’s harvest and, if it’s any indication of the 2025 Cru wines to come, we’ll be in for a treat.

nice review! got a bottle ready on the counter for thanksgiving.
Nouveau has been getting consistently better over the years. I suspect climate change has something to do with this, as the wines definitely taste riper and more flavorful.
Thanks for the tasting note! Now to find that one…
(Chicagoland area, if anyone has any leads…)
I was today years old when I found out there is a subreddit for wine! (Thanks Google.) Can’t wait to try it this evening. Beaujolais Nouveau is not always the best, but it’s important to mark the changing seasons and celebrate the harvest!
