Looks great. Tell me about your grinder

that looks like good puck prep and solid time.
if you didn’t like the taste, tell me more about the beans you are using and what is the roast date (not the best before date)
beans will probaly be your next upgrade path 🙂

funny enough that espresso machine (and the review by James Hoffman) are what sent me down the rabbit hole to buying a machine and making my own espresso. glad you’re on your journey!

I have a secret that big coffee doesn’t want you to know….. All shots are drinkable.

If the shot tastes sour or bitter with the same prep and time, or sometimes even sour on top and bitter on bottom then,
I think I know the problem. It’s probably temperature instability l got that with my Isomac Venus V1.
If the water doesn’t flow enough through the puck then it probably sends the water to the tank, this the cauldron sucks in Cold water and the temperature sinks really fast.

This looks pretty close to the shots I get on my $1,0000 machine so do with that knowledge what you will.
