I will admit that I am not a wine drinker at all. However I have stayed at L’Auberge Provencale with my wife several times, and it’s a wonderful place. I saw the story posted to [their Facebook page](https://www.facebook.com/laubergeprovencale), and I thought /r/wine might find it interesting.
While I’m not into wine, I am very much into cocktails/rum, and Christian Borel (who’s in the video) unknowingly played a big part in that. When the Covid lockdowns started, he posted a video of how to make a goldrush cocktail on their Facebook page. Being bored at home with nothing to do like everyone else, watching that video led me down the rabbit hole to my current hobby.
L’Auberge Provencale really is a small bed & breakfast in the middle of nowhere Virginia, and they’ve always treated us well, so I hate to see them deal with this.

You know what? I’ve been saying it’s too cruel and unusual punishment to send people convicted of crime in the USA to prison in El Salvador, but now I realize it’s warranted in some instances!

Sad to hear. But if this happened in Australia, all the staff involved in apprehending the female suspect would probably be in jail right now for assault and deprivation of liberty and she would be out free and probably already signed a Netflix deal to sell her harrowing story of being assaulted by the staff.
Bet her mate is enjoying those DRC with the Lourve thieves right now.

The somm in the video here is impressive for even recognizing he was being robbed tbh. Went right to check the money bottles and was right and sprung into action before they got off the premises.
Who the fuck would plan a wine heist this carefully. Like legitimately. That woman they have in prison hope she reveals a reason eventually. Whether hired or their own idea. I feel like it has to be hired since wines are hard to sell without providence! If you put any research into it you would know that esp numbered bottles like these
