A popualr herb often used in the making of the Christmas dinner has been recalled urgently due to a choking hazard.

The choking hazard is posed by pieces of debris which may have made their way into the product. The recall is for Favourit Earthy & Aromatic Sage, with the batch number L25289228 and best before date: June 2027.

Sage is a popular winter herb, making a delicious addition to certain elements of the Christmas dinner. Most frequently, it is used in sage and onion stuffing, a popular pairing with a traditional roast turkey.

It also enhances the flavor of roasted meats like turkey, pork, and beef, again making it popular for winter roasts and Christmas dinners, as well as being used for roasted veg sides such as squash, carrots or parsnips, and to flavour sauces such a bread or white sauce.

The implicated batch of Favourit, The Chef’s Choice, Earthy & Aromatic Sage in the pack size: 150grams may harbour large pieces of stalk, bark and plastic. This poses a choking hazard to consumers.
