Recently visited the smallish city of Redlands, CA and was really impressed with the local coffee scene. Here’s some quick notes on my three favorites.

Slow Bloom
The most typical “third wave” of the three IMO. Had a lot of outdoor seating which was cool. I went there pretty early in the morning and it was pretty empty minus a few folks working. The cold brew was delicious.

Fireproof
Definitely the coolest space I found, maybe even out of any shop I’ve visited. It’s squirreled away in an industrial area and is an enormous space but the main attraction is that they have a literal school bus in the back that they turned into a green room. It was cool af. Beyond that the general theme/decor was old space-race stuff which was also really cool. I came by here in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was packed with people. The cold brew was really tasty. Not many beans so choose from though.

Landmark
The smallest and simplest of the three, but I still enjoyed it. I visited early in the morning, it was not crowded whatsoever. I decided to get an Americano which was excellent.

I hit two others that were not pictured, Hooray and Molinos, both were quality spots. Hooray was attached to a fancy art store. Molinos was also small and simple but they happened to have a Toastmasters event going on when I visited at 7am, which I thought was really cool.
