I was refilling my water tank, and when I went to put my beans in the grinder, I haphazardly threw my beans directly in the water tank. You’d think it’d be hard to mess up this routine being that it’s the first thing I do every morning, but sometimes the brain is just on autopilot.

    “Something is different today…”
(stares at beans in tank with uncaffeinated brain for 5 minutes)

    Those dont go in there.

I have never been able to be helpful here before.

Unless they do go in there, then ignore me.

I knew you like coffee, so i put coffee inside of your water so you can make coffee with water containing coffee inside it. Should we use the coffee made by water that contain coffee to make coffee that made by coffee using water that contain coffee?? 🤔

  5. Been there, done that. Thank heavens I haven’t yet poured water into my grinder 🤞

    Heh. Feed the Silvia!

Also I never thought I would be that guy who recognized a machine by a small picture.

    Muhahahahhahaha. Oh no. 🙂

How to water process decaf beans:
    1. Soak beans in espresso tank.
    2. Take beans out tomorrow and pat them 99% dry.

    How to make espresso:
    1. Put the mostly dry beans in the grinder and make them fine.
    2. … Brew an espresso with the water used for decaf.
    3. Fire your butler.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think that’s where the beans go…

Is this an illustration of the dangers of attempting espresso before you’ve had your coffee? 😂

Silvia does not have a grinder included…from experience…

  11. Never make coffee before you’ve had coffee

  12. If it feel any better to you, I did almost the same but with my grinder. I poured water into the grinder (Eureka Mignon Manuale) instead of my brewer (Rancilio Silvia). Luckily, I wake up from this fact really quick, turned on the grinder, which ejected the water from the burrs pretty quickly, and managed to disassemble and clean the grinder in the next 10-15 minutes. It happened over a month ago, the grinder works perfectly fine, no corrosion. But it’s insane how you can mess up when you are a young sleep deprived father.

  13. You might need some coffee before attempting to make espresso.
