Must be nice being able to get drunk on 1/3 of a bottle

It’s a very well made on-style wine that’s $30 too expensive for what it is.

Definitely overhated and you can do a lot worse for California cab

Drinking wine, fondling 100oz of silver. I like the cut of your jib, good sir.

The 3rd and 4th glass taste better than the first two ๐Ÿ˜‚.

It’s great. Enjoy the great wine.

Is it the newest/hippest/happeningest thing in the American wine world? No. Is it a great wine? Yes

  6. They are in the โ€œNapa deluxโ€ style which means lots of new oak, โ€œsmoothโ€ easy drinking. A lot of Napa wines fit this profile. You could go into any wine shop and say you like silver oak but want something cheaper and they can give you similar wines from 40$ up to well over 100$.

To my taste Louis M Martini makes good wines in this style. They have a few different levels but you could start there.

Youโ€™ve missed the tasting notes so weโ€™ll just wait on notes from the pizza bagels youโ€™re surely gonna house soon.

Itโ€™s good but costs too much. Sometimes you can find an old vintage at a restaurant where that is considered high end for the same price as newer vintage.

Iโ€™m ready for the hate but I donโ€™t think Napa is making any worth the price wine currently. 2018 was the last year.

You can do a lot worse for more $, but also do a lot better for less $. Silver Oak is a tad more expensive than it should be, but always delivers a consistent high quality wine.

  11. Not bad at all, overpriced, but enjoyableย
