Its completely adequate as a starter grill, and thats not a bad price IMO. I had an earlier version of the 700 and got 5 years out of it

Academy should have the 850 or 1000 on sale right now. If you’ve got a little more to spend I’d get one of those.

This is a great grill to get started on, I could fit 4 racks of ribs laying flat on mine and it has the sear plate for searing steaks. Kinda wish I had kept it but ended up selling to a friend that wanted to smoke. I upgraded to a camp chef pro XL when it went on sale last black Friday .

Good deal there sir. Just bought an 850DX off the Lowes web price for $500. Probably would have gone this way had I seen it.
