Texas 8B. The one vegetable I start almost every meal with is a large onion. This is one veg that I really want to grow!! Ordered these sets from a Texas grower, put down a few bags of fresh garden soil, and tried to form hills as suggested by grower!!! Fingers crossed!

We grew onions for the first time this year! (Ontario, Canada 5b)

So easy and rewarding as a home cook!

We are just finishing eating this years crop, but planted an over winter crop in our high tunnel.

Nice. I planted some onion sets a couple weeks back. I interspersed mine though and didn’t dedicate a bed. I also begin every meal it seems with an onion.

Also Texas zone 8b. I too just planted my onion plants. This year I went with red creole, SoFire, and texas early white. Past experience with texas grano was so-so…..bulbs were small and storage ability was poor. I planted in a raised bed at high density. I will pick every other one as green onions between now and late spring
