Warhawk Pantry PR and Social Media Lead Tess Nogalski
The Warhawk Pantry has been serving the UW-Whitewater campus and community since 2018. Food insecurity is a nationwide concern, and no one should struggle to find access to food and the Pantry serves that need. Across universities, 23% of undergraduate students experience food insecurity. The pantry’s goal is to eliminate food insecurity and bring community support and nutrients to all who visit the pantry.
Thanksgiving is meant to be a time to gather with loved ones and celebrate all we are grateful for. Every family should be focused on the love and unity this holiday brings, not the concern of where their next meal will come from. Pantries are meant to relieve these worries for their community members.
This Thanksgiving, come to the Warhawk Pantry for the staple foods needed for the occasion. Whether you’re in need of ingredients for your Friendsgiving dish or one component short for a family Thanksgiving dish, the pantry is here for you. The Warhawk Pantry will be open Thanksgiving week on Monday, November 24, and Wednesday, November 26, from 3–6 PM. To set up an appointment, call or email the Warhawk Pantry at [email protected] or (262) 472-1860.
