Ice cream bars that were sold to grocery stores nationwide are being recalled after the company discovered they could cause life-threatening allergic reactions.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said this recall is for Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams’ Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bars because they have undeclared wheat and soy.

The recall was initiated after a crunch topping from a different product was mistakenly put in a batch of the ice cream bars during manufacturing, a statement from the administration explains. This topping has wheat and soy which is not declared on the packaging.

The recalled cartons can be identified using the batch code 25-210 which is on top of the carton. No other Jeni’s products are affected, the FDA said.

While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, the recall urges customers who have purchased the product to return the ice cream to the place of purchase for a refund.
