This Fresaflan (Strawberry Chocoflan) is the perfect dessert for any occasion 😋 Layers of creamy flan, soft cake, and a touch of strawberry sweetness 🍓 Soft, rich, and so beautiful 🥰 it’s sure to impress your family and guests!
FRESAFLAN INGREDIENTS:
For the caramel:
► 1 cup sugar
► Cooking spray
For the flan mixture:
► 4 eggs at room temperature
► 1 can of evaporated milk
► 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
► 4 oz of room temperature cream cheese
► 1 tbsp vanilla extract
For the cake batter:
► 1 box of strawberry cake mix
► 1 cup milk
► 3 eggs at room temperature
► 1/2 cup oil
This fa flan is one of those desserts that looks fancy, but it’s actually super easy to make. Let me show you how. Let’s start by melting one cup of sugar. This is going to be the caramel for our flan. Just keep mixing until it starts to crystallize. Mine took about 10 minutes to be ready. Before pouring into our mold, I’m going to grease with some cooking spray and pat away any excess. Now, we pour the melted sugar and make sure to spread it evenly. For the flan mixture, here I have four eggs at room temperature, one can of evaporated milk, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 4 oz of room temperature cream cheese, and 1 tbsp of vanilla extract. We blend. I’m going to add the mixture into the mold and strain as I do so for a smoother texture. Now, we cover with foil and place it inside a baking dish. Carefully add boiling water into our baking dish, filling it halfway to create a water bath. Now, we put it in the oven and we’re going to bake at 350° for 1 hour. Meanwhile, I’m going to prepare the cake batter, and I’m using this one. We add it to our mixing bowl along with one cup of milk, three room temperature eggs, and half a cup of oil. Now, we mix until smooth. It’s been 1 hour. We’re going to take out the flan, and add the cake mixture. Make sure to spread it evenly, cover it up with foil, and we’re going to continue baking for 45 minutes at 350°. It’s been 45 minutes. I’m going to let it cool off for about an hour before flipping.
