In Seoul, you can find restaurants that meet Italy’s official standards. Park Hyatt Seoul restaurant “Cornerstone” acquired the international certification “Ospitalita à Italiana” from the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea on the 17th.

Italian food culture starts from thinking about life, relationships, and hospitality together rather than the meal itself. Ospitalita Italiana is a certification created to preserve these values and inform the world. It is organized by the Italian National Tourism Institute and the Italian Chamber of Commerce Union.

Approximately 2,200 Italian restaurants in more than 60 countries around the world will be evaluated for menu composition, ingredient authenticity, service, and spatial identity, and certification will be given to excellent restaurants.

Led by Chef Choi Bo-hyun, Team Leader Kim Hyo-jin and Giorgio Savoini, Cornerstone was highly praised for its seasonal and regional Italian cuisine, utilization of authentic ingredients, and pairing (combination) capabilities of sommeliers.

It presents course dishes with the colors of each Italian region and has a list of more than 90 kinds of wine. In July, he won the “Award of Excellence” at the World Wine magazine Wine Spectator.

Maximilian Provis, director of the Park Hyatt Seoul Food Team, said, “We have been continuously preparing with the chef team, the service team, and the sommelier so that we can experience Italian cuisine in depth in Seoul.”
