Dover restaurant founder Martin Kuczmarski is to open two new London sites as he expands his operation after the success of the Italian restaurant he opened on Dover Street in Mayfair in late 2023.

Martino’s in Sloane Square will be an all-day Italian concept serving breakfast to dinner, while Dover Street Counter, a few doors down from the original Dover restaurant, will be inspired by late 1950s Los Angeles.

The business said that Martino’s would serve Italian classics, with menu items including ricotta pancakes, avocado bruschetta and arabbiata baked eggs through to short rib ragù tagliatelle, seafood fritto misto and meatballs zupetta.

Meanwhile, Dover Street Counter will be a more casual operation, serving the likes of disco fries, buttermilk fried chicken and chop-chop Mediterranean salad.

Both restaurants have been designed by Studio Drago, with Dover Street Counter featuring by a stainless steel bar and kitchen counter at the centre, along with black lacquer parquet floors and walnut boiserie panelling.

Martino’s interior will be based on Milanese trattorias, with wood panelling, burgundy terrazzo floors and elegant wood details to offer an art deco twist.
