I’m blessed to have a couple nearby Ace Hardwares whose owners respect and appreciate outdoor-cooking adventures. Walls of sauces, rubs and accessories, not just a token aisle of Webers and Kingsford. I turned the corner this morning and saw the 2XL BGE live and in-person for the first time. What a daunting beast that thing is, almost a little scary and intimidating. I opened the lid about 6 inches before retreating to the turkey brine. Anyone have any experience working on one of these Goliaths? (I didn’t check the price.)

I have the Big Joe III. (LOVE IT). Is this BGE bigger?

I am speaking from experience if you think you need a large, you really need extra large

I have the 2XL for about a year and I smoke briskets every weekend on it for my small business. Only thing I don’t like is there’s no eggspander or ceramic grill store elevated rack specifically for it. I’m using the XL’s egg CGS elevated rack. I also use it to grill directly with leftover fuel and it has a ton of space to cook for party or entertain your guests. I have a Large companion for it and they pair so nicely. I was considering a mini max but the base is so small my cousin said he has to clean out the ash often.

Family of 6. Bbq every Saturday. Some Sunday’s during NFL season. The size makes everything easier in terms of cooking everything and sides too.

Thanksgiving I got a ham, 2 breasts and some gravy going.

Wrap it in red? Not sure if dig at KJ or so the recipient thinks its a KJ and then surprise it’s a BGE!

For the record, I’ll take either as a gift.
