Cooked my first prime rib Sunday. Really liked how it turned out, cooking a 7lb one tomorrow!

You need to let it rest for a good amount of time before carving, that’s a lot of juice oozing out.

Just a thought or more. Those center pieces that look red could be seared in a pan with oil and provide for more tender leftovers. For the guests who think it looks too rare/tough to chew you could sear it in the pan and serve it to them. Might take 20 extra minutes.

Oh no your prime rib is too juicy. Keep doing what you are doing. If they want medium give them and end cut and so on to that way to juicy rare.

Favorite piece of meat. Hard to mess it up other than overcooking.

I’m going to need some bread for that meat juice.

Aluminum foil tent and at least 5 minutes rest before carving Just a thought

Looks good! Let it rest a while next time!
    Like 15 minutes
It will still be hot 🙂
And your juices will stay in

I’m gonna need a sample sent to me for quality purposes.

  12. One thing I want to mention. Buying this cut previously posted was 6lb at Costco was about $130. Have a friend who’s a butcher and told me (knowing my budget) it would be too much, even w his discount lol. Today, my friend picked up a 7lb roast at the store(bone in, tips for that please) for $51.50. Found that pretty wild . Person at the store was not able to cut the bones out
