My religious beliefs acknowledge this as a grilled cheese. It’s only a melt if it wants to be, that’s not up for me to decide. If it tells me it’s a grilled cheese, I respect that.

This sub looked fun… but wow, some of yall are truly unhinged. A grilled cheese or a melt, wtf cares?? Keyboard warriors on here acting high and mighty like they draw the line… is cringe af.
Not everyone. But enough. Someone mentioned ratio, and to that, I’d agree. If you’ve never had a grilled ham and cheese, i feel sorry for you. While found in the wild at country clubs and other restaurants, if you, the home cook disagree – thats on you. Doesn’t make you right. And idgaf how many plain Jane wonder bread and kraft shingle melts you’ve eaten.
The folks who care enough to argue grilled cheese vs melt are worse than the folks who argue when a BLT is no longer a BLT… BLAT with turkey and green chile, isn’t a club. Grilled ham and cheese with green chile > your shitty 2 cheese toasted bread sandwich.
I can actually prove that it’s still a grilled cheese… but the few threads I’ve scrolled have disgusted me and turned me off to this corner of reddit.
